the Wayfarer

A pair of Wayfarers today will last you till you die. And if you take real good care of it, you can pass it on to your grandkids. This is the story behind my own pair of these sunglasses. I got them from my grandad, and this pair dates back to a few years after world war II. Thus is the testament to the immortal cool of the Wayfarers

Designed by Raymond Stegeman for Ray-Ban in 1952, the Wayfarers are enjoying a rebirth as of late. And as far as I'm concerned, it will enjoy its stylish status til kingdom come. If you only have to have one pair of sunglasses, this is it.

And please do not get the colored ones if you can help it. It's a fashion fad and in about a year's time it would be so last year. Stick with the plain blacks or tortoise shell and you're set for life.

Untouchable. Timeless. Just plain cool.
